Greetings! Did you wake up this morning and make it too the gym? Did you wake up this morning and make either coffee or tea? Did you wake up this morning and follow the same routine that you followed yesterday? I ask these three questions because for me, I followed the same routine as I did yesterday and I made coffee. What are your priorities?
At 5:15am my alarm went off to make it to the gym, but my body had a different agenda. I was sore from a surgical procedure that I had done on Monday, so I gave my body a free pass and break. It is so easy though to get into this routine of giving our bodies “a break.” I think my subconscious just did not want to make it out of bed and into the cold that early. There were many things that I could have done at the gym and I surely did not have to push as hard as I usually do. Needless to say, I will be going to the gym this evening after work – No excuses!
Friends, are you aware of the little “breaks” that are becoming habits with you and your being? What are you going to do to change this? We can always start by holding ourselves more accountable and focussing on our top priorities. Baby steps win the race.
