Who is familiar with 70.3 Ironman? For those who are unaware, 70.3 Ironman is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run.
Molly Cain, SMILE #UWokeUp Founder, is racing Boulder 70.3 Ironman in a few short weeks. Is this ideal for you? Molly States, ” I find that I am able to quiet everything when I swim, bike and run. This acts as a cheap therapy session, where I am able to sort out daily confusion, unnecessary thoughts, and dreams.” Who else struggles with these issues… ALL traumatic brain injury survivors. I think, YES! Training provides Molly focus and certainty to knowing what is next. This is always a struggle with TBI survivors, knowing what is next and not forgetting the task. At least for Molly, can you relate? Instead of living this forgetful life and accepting all that is, Molly thought why not go all in or nothing at all.
Molly story is an uplifting journey. Six years ago, Molly was in a coma with the right side of her body paralyzed. Through learning the new her and overcoming many sores and challenges, Molly is able to compete in 70.3 to hopefully inspire others to continue to make moves, while working on overcoming personal challenges.
Our focus with 70.3 is to show other TBI survivors that we have the power to overcome. That a diagnosis does not determine your future, to a certain degree, you do. Join SMILE #UWokeUp on August 4th, for the Boulder 70.3 Ironman.
