Northern Colorado and surrounding areas. Are you struggling with head trauma in some capacity, maybe a traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, stroke, brain aneurysm, ect? Do you feel easily confused and alone, like no one understands? Look no further, you’ve found “your people”. Shocker, you are not alone.
SMILE #UWokeUp is a nonprofit organization designed to provide awareness of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) to our communities, while providing support, tools and tips and TBI prevention insight. We provide this a plethora of ways, from holding bi-weekly support group meetings, community events, and providing Third Party Funding to local (Northern Colorado) TBI-ers to participate in receiving services at Hearts and Horses.
Our Support Group meetings are held the 2 & 4 Tuesday of the month, at Medical Center of the Rockies (2nd) and Poudre Valley Hospital (4th), from 6:30pm 8pm. These meetings are for anyone battling head trauma in come capacity. If you are not sure about attending a meeting, email the team at smileuwokeup@gmail.com.
Hearts and Horses is an Organization that raises awareness about therapeutic riding through Occupational and Physical Therapy using equine movement to work on goals related to each individual participant. To learn more, visit:
